Luckily I don't live in the Bay Area or California. I live outside of a major city and just deal with a longer commute most times. I'd guess the super inflated Bay Area pay is likely going to deflate but the average global pay for

Largely depends on the people, the team, and the area you work in. For areas that need to "just build" you'll probably see massive performance improvements. People in their internal accelerator Area 120 this is probably great

I think what people with enough instrumentation and metrics collection, like google, are going to find are there are teams that are 10x to 100x more productive during the pandemic and other teams that are 1/10th to 1/100th as prod

There's a lot of great youtubers out there who document their work in construction. It seems like a subset of contractors/architects/builders are interested in doing "experimental" things and improving the world

It looks like they support HBM2e memory and I'm assuming since this is the server space they will support a lot of it. So seems to be a combination of sharing and vertical scaling.

It's Fallout: Firefly. Space western fallout game with quirky characters, hard moral dilemmas, and no one telling you what's right/wrong.

I bought xbox game pass just to play The Outer Worlds. Best fun I've had playing a game since FNV and watching Firefly. If they pooled the resources for their studios it would be amazing.

A single-build-system world would need to see a build system that recognizes all languages and use cases as equally important. There's very few build systems that actually support this in a reproducible and hermetic way.

Yea, anything that allows you to think in a higher-level than raw kube objects will save you a lot of time and heartache. For instance, if your application needs a redis cluster in helm you have to mess with subcharts/other headaches.

Helm is probably the worst influence I've experienced on the kubernetes ecosystem. It takes something that could have been really good (metaconfig) and makes it illegable, complex, and impossible to debug. Kustomize, too, doesn't

Super cool to see these sorts of tools. They're great for learning the kube API. For production-y things however, some meta-config language that allows deterministic templateing would be a huge improvement. It allows you to make sweepi
