For issue #1 - try going into settings and enabling Account Name, I believe it's off by default. I, like you, had to edit each entry after import; Aegis has multiple metadata fields and I think the old data imports into the (not visibl

The density is configurable in Aegis, 3 "View Modes" - Normal (what you see by default I think?), Compact and Small. You can then choose to show or hide the Account name to further reduce size, and it supports Groups to organize.

A little bit ago in another HN article ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=20232164 ) where AndOTP popped up, a link was shared with a nice discourse between the AndOTP author and a newer one, Aegis: https://old

Anecdotal comment: I've been a buyer of Etsy sourced things since around 2011 (roughly 160 purchases? hard to tell without manually counting, 16 pages of about 10 per page) - I have watched the features of the site degrade over time ar

A cookie could store the session id from a load balancer or app server, designed to beneficially route your return traffic back to the same warm appserver to reduce disk load times or whatnot. Blocking that cookie has no observable benefit&

I need to validate an input string from the user to ensure it's a 32 character hex (I'm validating it's a NAA format 6 WWN) and regex is just the easy, fast and efficient to do this. It's not a complicated regex and is q

Hopefully of interest to HN readers, Sonic has frequent flyer miles with the EFF as being one of the best privacy-oriented ISPs around, fighting gag orders for customer information, offering VPNs, etc. - this article briefly skims over that

The person I'm replying to specifically said "mess with the WIFI AP" in order to present this as harmful or dangerous (FUD), it is not. It's a trivial header check bypass - whether or not that is "hacking" is a

The author does not "mess with the WIFI AP on the plane", they exploit a weakness in the design (failure by viasat to maintain an checksum IP mapping to their domain for the captive service) to simply bypass a trivial TLS header c

Thanks for this, I really like the discourse between these two in the second link. The andOTP author is open about their crypto being sub-optimal and giving the Aegis dev a thumbs up, reason enough for me to give Aegis a shot to replace it.
