   Yeah, all they get in return is the chance to shit on competitors and possibly leave their customers open to harm, while getting lauded by the people who still think google isn't evil.

   Except google has good reason to want iPhone customers to feel unsafe, to have apple blamed for issues, etc...

   Except it's google leaking vulnerabilities that effect their direct competitors. They have way too much skin in the game.
