We need to get past this meme of "if the situations were reversed, I'd be OK with it." Think about it for a second. How many "all female crews" have you actually heard of in Silicon Valley (or tech startups in general)? Any? I'm honestly cu

This is very, very cool. One request: would you consider making the color thing not part of the license but just a "polite request"? I understand where you're coming from and have no problem complying, but it's a little confusing and unclea

Summary of the link: OwnCloud is using Mersenne Twister (not secure) seeded by time of day and PID (which is not nearly enough entropy) to generate keys. The encryption is done in ECB mode, which leaks data ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B

When I was writing a lot of C, I settled on 8-column tabs (a style I copied from OpenBSD). Combined with an 80-column wide terminal, it prevents you from nesting too far down — 4 or 5 levels and you keep having to wrap, which is an automati

I didn't see the face until reading this comment, but now I can't un-see it. Very subtle, reminds me of the hidden right arrow in the FedEx logo.

I'm getting no sound in Firefox 12 on Linux. On Chromium 18, this somewhat works, but with lots of clicking (not mouse clicking, audio file clicking) and distortion - it doesn't sound anything like zitterbewegung's song - and certain notes
