Nice story, but we shouldn't trust that technology is not improving further. What we see now is only just the beginning.

Not sure, but it seems like from a usability perspective it's easier for apps to 'just connect' people in your contacts via the phone number. From a privacy perspective, though, it's much better what Threema does. That&#

Yet, it is a utility by now. Who could live or work without it? A country cripples its economy in the long run if they do not realize that.

Totally agree with this. Yes, with privacy it's hard to 'eavesdrop' on the bad guys, but isn't it allowed to whisper? Why should having privacy be ok in real life, but not when you communicate digitally? So far no one ha

Tesla stocks have been overrated; everybody said so. The bubble doesn't pop as long as people believe it keeps growing. Most have stopped believing.

I once had an issue with Microsoft at work and had to get MS support to help me. They literally called me on the landline and asked for remote control of my computer. It was totally legit. Still I felt uncomfortable and asked for a Teams se

Exactly this. I mean it starts with one thing, but in the end we will only be able to use the internet if we link your online identity to our passports and gov will know literally every site we've ever visited.

I agree. Design updates in email clients are not that important - unless it actually also improves usability. Unfortunately, most apps just want to look fancy, not focusing on functionality.

I prefer paying for services, e.g. Tutanota, Anonaddy, Bitwarden, Guardian. Why do people take everything on the web for free? Of course, companies need to make money - if not with subs, then with ads. What else should they do?

I've been using alias addresses since forever, though with Tutanota, not Proton (due to cost & nice app). It's great when you can simply deactivate an address and the spam stops coming.
