Yes, I did. I prefer math/logic syntax, and I often like to work with pen and paper, and those are my main reasons for preferring TLA+ syntax over PlusCal. The author of Practical TLA+ says PlusCal is innately less expressive. Even so,

Fantastic, pron - thanks for the helpful replies. I had a look at Practical TLA+ a few weeks back, but because its first example also specifies a concurrent system, and because most of it is written in PlusCal syntax, not in TLA+, I decided

I've been learning TLA+ for the past two months, hoping I could use it as a formal language for software design generally and not just for concurrent systems. I'm enamored with the idea of using math formalisms to describe a state

It really is beautiful. It's a variant of Deja Vu, as I recall, and its hinting is perfect on my display. The feature I really needed, though, was good Unicode coverage, especially for math and logic symbols, and Hack has that spades.

Wikipedia's article "Ogallala Aquifer" says that its volume has reduced 9% since the 1940s, 3% in the period 2001-2008 alone (32% of 9%). At this rate of depletion, the aquifer has 240 years left, and once depleted, it would
