> This basically proves that Apple shot themselves in the foot for AI on mobile by artificially restricting RAM for so long! What they shot was us. My 14 Pro won’t do AI despite having a better NPU than an M1, all because Apple chose - i

If VM escapes were a big problem the cloud would not be a thing. But on that note that's probably the best place to run these things.

One of my first thoughts when I saw Computer Use was it needs some secondary agent controlling what the controlled computer is able to do or connect to. Like a firewall configuration agent or something.

I think it’s at least partly cost reduction. Push everything to the phone so people have to pay more for phones and they pay less for infra. Win-win. Otherwise why don’t they let older devices use their server-side private LLM setup?

I would say the problem there is the requirement to phone a human to change a record in their database. If they had an app then an AI assistant should be able to tie things together. Where things seem to be going is apps provide an intent-b

I have it set up with ollama. It’s… interesting. HA commands are provided to the model as tools so it works as well as the model is able to determine when and how to use tools. From experimenting with that and my own tool use code I’ve foun

I'm just on the edge of understanding this but if I'm visualizing this right you're talking about a point source at the center of a sphere and a bitmap indicating where all the vectors intersect the surface. But that would me

Thx, I prefer not to visit meta properties :X They were already pretty small but I guess the smaller the better as long as accuracy doesn't suffer too much.

Right but the question is how much - if at all - different hearing aid mode is from what was already there. It's possibly it was already compliant but simply hadn't been certified. Or maybe it's way different, I haven't

I think how much they're attracted to you and how much you react to bites are independent. My daughter and I can be in the same place outside for a while and she'll end up with many welts while I have nothing. I do catch them biti

You can read and write HA entities via HTTP API so I think you could have done this with nothing but HA, but either way it's a fun project :) One of my more fun HA project was scraping my snow removal service's tractor tracking AP

You don't need mirrors, you just need to get in front of the photons. A time machine or warp drive will do :) Also the past is the only thing you can perceive, there effectively is no now.

Either way it's just a label. You've already been able to do the same thing for years. Just use the free Mimi hearing test app, save the audiogram to Health, then apply it in headphone accommodations.

That's fair. It's easy to get philosophical about such things so something you can point to that's more based on metrics can help a discussion be more objective. otoh countering opinion with fact doesn't always work well

Mostly agree, though I prefer pulling latest from main over rebasing as the latter messes up the “New changes” markers for reviewers in GH. Also we always squash merge so I don’t bother squashing my commits. Don’t review commit by commit.
