Super cool the Watch can be so beneficial to someone like yourself with actual important use cases, unlike most of us (read: me) where it's mostly gravy. RE not carrying a phone, I think what mostly makes them something people need to

Lame the Watch still can't be managed with an iPad or else you could go all in on this idea.

It's basically an alerting platform so it's just what they do. It integrates with our alerting for things like metrics monitoring and it'll route the notifications based on on-call schedule etc. Deadman is just another way to

Neat. We use OpsGenie to monitor our alerting infra and it has deadman/heartbeat support so something like that is another way to go.

Smoking is bad for your health. The only reason people keep doing it is addiction. I would not call that great.

Going on 13 years without a smoke, since my kid was on the way. Now I wonder how I ever started that dumb habit in the first place. Can’t stand to be anywhere near it anymore.

I think she thought it was going to work for a while. The problem was when she got to the point of realizing it wouldn't and had the chance to stop there, she doubled down. That's why she's in prison today.

Agree. The way I frame it is the world changes very slowly so even very capable new technologies take time to integrate into it.

Fair; I may have been overstating things given I only use Radarr, Sonarr and Prowlarr. I like the Sonarr UI but yeah it could have more control over which things to get and when. I have a hard time getting it to pick the one I would pick. P

Agree RE using sequence/index numbers. I would set up a reply array, send indices along with the requests and store each result in the corresponding index. Keep track of the lowest received index and print when the next one comes in. L

The whole *arr suite is excellent. Bit of a learning curve to get it going but well worth the effort. Don't forget to send all your instance's traffic through a VPN.
