https://github.com/lahwaacz/arch-wiki-docs as an alternative to tldp for offline viewing. IMO the Arch wiki is the best Linux configuration resource available.

My first computer was an Amiga 500 and I guess my fondness for the Amiga never really diminished. A couple of years ago I started experimenting with C in AmigaOS, and I wanted to take on something substantial as a challenge for myself. Sinc

I strongly support this advice having felt the pain. Inherited a setup using a semi-well-known vendors Patroni/Postgres HA operator implementation on OpenShift and it was extremely fragile to any kind of network latency/downtime (

Interesting. How did you collect metrics for reports when running that many VUS? In a recent attempt, influxdb quickly became the bottleneck for us when testing with around 5000 VUS. Is there some best practices outlined somewhere, or whic

HAProxy has a dashboard the last time I checked, which is today. Thanks for the effort! A very nice overview, which makes choosing between load balancer implementations when looking for a specific feature a lot easier. Somehow tables like t

I had the great pleasure of adminstrating and deploying AIX for 6 years. It really is an extremely solid OS. During that time I also worked with HP-UX, which compared to AIX felt stuck in some oldschool UNIX limbo especially concerning stor

To me (from an Ops perspective), technical debt is when people who have come before you implemented a setup that is broken at a deep level. A setup which can only be fixed by a complete re-implementation. No amount of maintenance will suffi

AFAIK dkimproxy is no longer maintained. That is the main reason I dropped my plan using dkimproxy with OpenSMTPD for a simple send-only mailsetup. The rspamd+redis setup felt way to overkill for a tiny vps. Postfix+opendkim+opendmarc works

I use my AeroPress for Yerba Mate exclusively. Two spoons of Yerba Mate for one cup, add 90C° water, put in plunger on top and let it steep for 5 minutes. It stretches the Yerba Mate and it is easy to clean.

An interesting way IME to learn C, is to code for an old platform like the Amiga. All the same best practices apply, but the underlying OS is more simple and the constraints, like missing floating point, forces you investigate many aspects
