The proper response would be a suit to enforce a trademark, not an explosion of articles, interviews, shutdown of network access and demands for money paid to a private company in order to prevent the explosion.

What are the issues? Nothing publicly articulated so far appears to have breached any licensing terms or trademark law. If there are issues then Matt would do well to clearly articulate the problem.

Fair enough on wordpress.com. It still doesn't strike me as plausible that any reasonable person in a purchasing decision thinks WPengine is wordpress itself. I certainly haven't seen any such confusion online.

For there to be a violation there has to be a reasonable prospect of consumer confusion by the consumers in the target market. The page is labelled "Choose your WordPress Hosting plan" Someone who is in the market for Wordpress ho

Could you please explain in which way trademarks were violated? Nominative use is explicitly allowed according to long established caselaw. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nominative_use

Youtube Music is included with premium and is comparable to spotify/apple. It's a bundle. So another way of looking at it is: "If I pay Youtube instead of spotify/apple then I also get no ads if I pay just a bit more&quo

This feels like a private which has reached the public shorn of the context that would be necessary to understand it. I use Wpengine and have enjoyed it. They have some aggressive upsells and you learn you can ignore them. Actually had no i

Have you tried the Shortcuts app? On phone and mac. Should be able to make one that finds and moves a voice memo when run. You can run them on button press or via automation. Also what kind of local machine do you need? I have an imac pro,

I write imprecisely but I wad actually referring to assessing how you are at specific things. How you feel you are at specifics bleeds somehow into a general sense of self esteem. I definitely agree on not tying your sense of self worth to

One way of looking at it is how you assess yourself in things and take pride in or feel regret about that. For example, you wrote this comment. It is a well written comment. You likely have some belief roughly along the lines of "I wri

Very good article. Not clear to me why Google has let parasite SEO become so successful. Possibly they are starved of human generated content kept to a certain quality level. But it's very strange to see sites leveraging a legacy brand

Thanks, I should have specified that! I'll note that anyone running an out of date MacOS should use Chrome or Firefox. Safari gets its updates via OS updates, whereas third party browsers have their own update cycle.

I dug into this. Apple's incentives aside, the bulk of intel's chips in macs are no longer supported by Intel or soon won't be. The more time passes the harder it is to keep those machines secure. This is the best article I f
