I like Intelligentsia, which has roasting facilities (and coffee bars) in Chicago and Los Angeles. They do a lot of single origin coffees from Central America. Probably not available in many locations, so as a fallback, I'd agree with cpr o

This looks like an elegant, intuitive solution to the hover problem. It seems to fit right in with the iPad/iPhone's aesthetic as well. I didn't notice any solution for reordering the items, which I believe the desktop-based version provide

I don't think it's necessary to fade out the header and sidebar. The layout is simple enough that having those components at full opacity shouldn't be overwhelming. Also, while the fully-justified body text produces nice, straight left and

I think this is a fine option to provide, but I don't buy the argument that inserting a superscripted number is any less cognitively disruptive than underlining the text of a link. It's still distracting from the flow of reading.

Sure. I guess the implementation would be important. The screenshot toward the end of the 37s post suggests that employees have an opportunity to advertise their accomplishments, to which their peers can then respond with fractional portion

Or could simply modifying the UI solve this problem? Putting the downvote arrow to the right of a news item (maybe just on mobile devices) would prevent fat-fingering, and then votes can remain permanent.
