Those you mention no. There are tools for typechecking (flow) and to be honest in years of JS programming only rarely have I had bugs caused by a variable of the wrong type being passed into a function. As for the "weird" equality

I agree her gender is an issue for some, but she got beaten by Obama before, and he had stronger handicaps than her (race and a "funny name"). I think it boils down to her lack of charisma and being seen as "the establishment
