Then you get paradoxes like why the rigor doesn't work in practice. These expensive CS books mathematically prove a map has faster access than a vector because it uses a binary tree. Yet the vector works faster because the CPU pipel

It may not be the copyright they care about so much, but strict Muslim countries might find western shows criminally objectionable on moral grounds.

I see the inverse of that happening: every critical decision will incorporate AI somehow. If the decision was good, the leadership takes credit. If something terrible happens, blame it on the AI. I think it's the part no one is saying

If by "the government" you mean the Israeli government? Probably. They have unlimited control over the US, quite possibly due to a decades-long blackmail operation.

Both sides are heavily controlled by AIPAC. That's why you'll rarely hear democrat YouTubers calling out the genocide. For example, Brian Tyler Cohen has remained mute about it. It's true for many other partner channels.

Its from an author who mainly wrote newspaper columns in the 90s. It's his style of tongue-in-cheek humor, and it's aged about 3 decades. I won't say "hasn't aged well", but just "aged".

Left wing won't solve it either. They profit from the crisis by promising each election and not delivering.

So carefully applied thermite to defeat all of them at once? Probably not directly down to drip into the valuables, but some tangent application.

> thought we should do "proof of humanity" I thought about this in another context and then I realized: what system is going to declare you're human or not? AI of course

Porn is enormously profitable. This might just be the saving grace for AI. Historically, porn has been a pioneer in new tech industries (home video, online commerce, video and streaming). This time they aren't first to the game but don

I'm a bit late to comment on this, but people might find it interesting. The title is "programming in assembly without an operating system", but it gives really good insight to how the early boot process works, and how to beg

It's the government that wants unchecked power, no matter what. This is why people support the 2A, and why it was the 2nd most important thing to those who founded the country.

Completely orthogonal to the feeling of small/unimportant, my mind gets rolled up in thinking about how much activity is going on that's not being experienced by anyone. Think of the raging storms on venus' surface or the ice

I think they mean the bulk of the sum came from the rise of BTC, moreso than the scam. Like a purse snatcher steals a total of $200 and buys lottery tickets making their proceeds worth $40k.

stop blaming fires on people who start them. its inevitable that someone is going to be the root cause. meanwhile the people whose job it is to manage the forest or wilderness areas are scot-free. At least send them to prison too.

That's hypothetically possible if a government somehow forced corporations to redistribute their wealth. But a civil war is equally likely. Where society is destroyed after poor people with guns have their say.

I can't believe I still have to do my own laundry and dishes. Like that's some how way more powerful than the models of a megawatt powered data center and millions of dollars in 3nm silicon can conquer.

It's not exactly low energy, but a school bus opens up the option to use a projector and a large roll up screen. Of course at night or lower light conditions but still could work. Maybe with a beanbag chair and a laptop lap rest.
