Hmm - all they sent me was the following “we can do better” text: “It's AT&T. We apologize for Thursday's outage, which may have impacted you. As a valued customer, your connection matters and we are committed to doing better.

I agree with you on the DL renewal based on a sim. Interestingly: The base CDL is a one and done skill test. There are no CPEs like with other regulated industries (nurses/teachers/investment advisors) - but there is a health and

I too have really enjoyed - thank you author! Your curiosities and resulting blow posts really appealed to me as they were questions and things I would want to know. The breath in unconditioned spaces freezing, the fuel storage, planes land

Tipflation is a good way to put it. The menu prices/product prices DO adjust to inflation. They aren't in perfect lockstep sure, but the restaurant/biz needs cost covered/some margin to stay in business. In theory, 15% 3

I use Logseq for this. Every task or conversation gets a todo. “Meet with bob about x” “Work on pdf forms” etc. Those that I’m doing get set to “doing” which helps keep me on task. When I’m done with a task it’s marked “done” and I get the

Cleveland has a public owned utility for power that does publish an annual. https://www.cpp.org/About/Annual-Reports The non-Cleveland owned utility data is also available, it’s just not as “Cleveland specific”

And Cleveland already has Cleveland Public Power! Cleveland Public Power is the City of Cleveland's municipally-owned electric company and is a Division of the Department of Public Utilities. The Department provides water, sewer, and e

I traveled with a Kindle Fire Tablet (middle device). I’m loving it. It’s been mainly used for video on this trip. Quick web searches and killing time ready a distant second. It’s a better size for a plane. I’m lucky in that I always have a

I have LEDs everywhere. But the blue light fears some game seem at least worth looking into. I can’t help but thinking in 50 years people will be replacing phrases like “they used LEAD pipes” and “they sprayed loose asbestos into the attic”

This article was run in 1997. It reads exactly like what a modern dental experience is. If dentists want to start drilling, capping, or pulling. Go get a second opinion. I was referred to the Otho within my dentists office to look at my wis

This is a fantastic point on ownership that those “placing” it on others can often miss. “Ownership carries a lot of responsibility, but it also carries a lot of trust – because to let an individual or a team own a service, you have to give

I don’t have the stats, but would be very surprised if the number of airbnbs, short terms, and vacant apartments was more meaningful than the number of wealthy folks moving in. But if it were the case, it’s somewhat fair to assume it’s the

My understanding is that heat pumps operate at less than 100% efficiency at those levels. They don’t start blowing cold air, rather the air isn’t 90 degrees coming out any more.

Heat pumps are great, but it’s the dc inverter and advances in compressor efficiency that is really the biggy on energy usage here. Every one of these “heat pumps are the future” articles is so soft on data, and they often fail to explain t

Even more interesting if electric cars can act as peaker plants during the day. Both of these models come down to efficiency I suppose.
