You attribute all of that exclusively to a small group of tech ceos? That's completely absurd, but let's see the data on that.

500ms p75 is not good for the (low) complexity of the shopify app. Also reporting p75 latency instead of p99+ just screams to me that their p99 is embarrassing and they chose p75 to make it seem reasonable.

They mention later in the article that the 500ms is p75. Realistically 50ms p75 should be achievable for the level of complexity in the shopify app.

The 500ms number is p75 - not worst case at all. 200ms round trip is like 10x more than what's reasonably possible. Same with your other numbers.

First of all exposing IDs and having non-enumerable IDs are completely different things. Second, HN usernames are 100% enumerable. 'asdfgf' is an example of account which has never posted.

What safeguards? Obfuscating your IDs by... replacing them with one-to-one mapped other IDs?

> When someone comes around demanding that others provide them with information they can easily look up TIL 'please give examples/evidence' === demanding. You're so dishonest and insecure it's hilarious.

I asked for a very specific thing, not 'regulations that impact youtube'. The fact that you're telling me about your little search engine adventure without actually sharing a single link/specific regulation, says a lot.

You keep alluding to these regulatory restrictions which supposedly force this kind of behavior from Google - please go ahead and tell us what those are.

People often say that before they realize how complex and messy real-world Haskell looks like. The indentation-based rules aren't even defined anywhere except via imperative code in the implementation.

Most of the obese people I know are completely clueless about nutrition and exercise (even though they think they know a lot).

All you're saying is the it's harder to make some choices depending on situation. They are still 100% choices. Choices don't have to be trivially easy.

Someone with high self control that wants to be non-obese, has a nearly 100% chance of accomplishing that goal. Literally by definition.

You need to change your attitude if you want to lead a healthy lifestyle. Don't blame your failures and CHOICE to eat junk and not exercise on weed. You know what the healthy choices are, you know when you're not making them. You

Really? Language models can spit out entire CRUD apps with UI, DB, auth/z, constraints/validation? More like 'language models can kinda build 5% of a CRUD app somewhat correctly sometimes'. Would love to be proven wrong
