Reminds me of when I attended my districts technical career center for 2 years. We had ~3 hours of various IT learning every morning with kids from high schools all over the county before we all went back to our normal schools. We'd of

I agree datacenters would clearly be targets, but our IT infrastructure is hardly alone in being a relatively concentrated strategic target. If kinetics are in play, said actor could also destroy our oil refining and pipeline systems. Takin

You can use terminal tools on the registry fwiw. Powershell provides a native PSProvider that exposes the registry like a file system so you can cd into it and make changes.

Tons of 3rd party sellers use the Fulfilled by Amazon program where they have Amazon store and handle all logistics on their items. It's not cheap, and iirc cost increases over time. Amazon doesn't want their warehouses full of sh

This is false - if the dose is high enough with a drug like Adderall or Vyvanse you will get the euphoric and high energy when first starting out. Over the course of a week or two your body adapts and that feeling fades.

Agreed - in this awful scenario where the US is fighting China, their economy would absolutely crater as the US shoots any ship heading towards Chinese ports after the embargo was declared. China can't feed itself. China only produces

I was just listening to Yellen talk about this today, she definitely thinks childcare and concerns about covid are the primary forces keeping people from seeking work. Lot's of schools are still only having kids in a few days a week, s

I've been playing with both Stadia and Xcloud. Stadia definitely has Xcloud beat on technical merits - load times, streaming quality etc. BUT, their pricing is too high and the library is tiny. The value you get from the Xbox Gamepass

If generators were required to be winterized in order to access the market, that would have solved the problem. No individual company will take the profit hit without a regulation forcing all the actors to do it.

It's not a rolling blackout in Austin. I haven't had power in over 24 hours, and that describes everybody else without power here. If you were lucky enough to be on a circuit with a hospital or fire station you have stayed up this

You might want to mention some sources in case people are interested in reading more on this theory. Namely: Peter Zeihan. I'm a fan of the guy - his logic and rough predictions certainly seem to be bearing fruit over the last decade.
