I'll check that out. I know when I'm recovering from an illness I need to push myself a bit to regain energy. But it also makes sense that its not a universal experience.

Why do devs beg for information about lay-offs. It's unbecoming. Communicating these things ahead of time doesn't do any good for anyone. If you're concerned, start looking for other work.

I do wonder how much of this is self-fulfilling atrophy. You're tired and sick, so you stay in bed. Then you get weak, making you more tired. Hopefully she can turn things around, regardless of underlying causes.

These arguments are pointless because in a few years you can have your AI of choice translate Linux to your language of choice. The real question is will you even bother to do it? Will it matter at that point?
