I consume high quantities of CBD most days. It's actually pretty cheap in the US if you get it in plant form. You can get it online because it's legal to ship hemp (i.e. cannabis without THC). The extracts, pills, oils etc are sup

ITT: People who didn't read the article, argue how GPL would make this business model impossible, not realizing code in the article is AGPL licensed. smh, I expected better from HN.

I don't understand... Why would anyone do that? If you're gonna lie at least research enough so you can bullshit about it right? Why would you put something you don't know about in your resume?

I think playing "from position" is also broken? I was playing chess with my friend and we usually play "from position" but it wasn't working just now so we're playing standard instead. It might be an unrelated

Hmm I don't know it might be wrong. But a few people from different circles commented on my hand gestures, one said I have very expressive hand gestures, the other said I "talk like an Italian". None of this is bad of course,

I grew up in a Mediterranean country where talking with your hands is the norm, and is a very important part of communication. Hand gestures are not a "recommended" part of the speech, they're part of the language that carrie

I honestly don't think this is a JS problem. I don't use many js apps, but I use emacs, and it's also very slow. Most of the android apps are slow. When I'm streaming something, especially on twitch, sometimes my compute

I don't understand why this is in HN frontpage. This is just numerology. There is no predictive or mathematical content here, right? Am I wrong?

Why? You can just binary search. It'll take about 5 page turns. It's not like you can go to 77th page in one go, you need to "sort of" binary search in normal order as well since you don't know exactly where page 77

Can someone please correct me? We don't know polynomial CVP/SVP algorithms correct? In fact, isn't SVP an NP-Hard problem? Why would this "destroy" RSA?

Absolutely not at all. Statistics and geometry are very different fields. Sure they both use some part of mathematics and an undergrad level statistics and geometry curriculum will have many common classes, but at post-doc level it is defin

I prepend my filenames with soemthing like `YYYY-MM-DD_HH:MM:SS.sss` or if second is enough `YYYY-MM-DD_HH:MM:SS`. The `T` there makes it hard to read for humans imho.

This is not a major problem if you push to all mirrors. E.g. if you're using Bitbucket CI, but also mirror your git repo in github, gitlab (as GP did) then you can just push to everyone and that will automatically trigger bitbucket CI,

Of course we lose something when we abstract to higher level languages, that's exactly what it means to abstract out. It'd be more surprising other way around. For example, when you're programming in a language like Haskell,
