Why does this distinction matter? Gnome on X works perfectly fine, Gnome on Wayland does not. Why does it matter it to state that Wayland is a protocol, not the implementation?

The simple answer is that, if one is convinced that religions are not real (not even necessarily an atheist, a deist can believe this as well) seeing their loved ones "wasting" (again, according to them) their lives on things that

I'm still using OnePlus 6. It's ok, I wouldn't say I love it but I use my phone only for chatting and browsing reddit so it's not worth a change. Besides, before I bought OnePlus 6 in 2018 I had a Samsung and it was a to

That's honestly exactly what I was looking for. Either my google-fu is rusty or Google/github is not great for finding repos without thousands of stars.

Not at all, it's actually the opposite. Security by obscurity is a terrible way of securing software since once someone backward-engineers it, you're hacked. Instead, if you open source it, all security researchers will be able to

Imagine writing code for an elevator. If there is a glitch in your code such that when the date changes from 1999 to 2000 it'll release all the ropes... that'd cause bunch of people to die. Something like this is exceptionally unl

In AWS Lambda you can run arbitrary processes in their serverless service e.g. my company runs ffmpeg in Lambda. Why does this have to be WASM in javascript engine? Why can't they just run sqlite by javascript forking to a C++ process

This type of bikeshedding behavior is a sign of technical immaturity. The more technical experience one gains, one usually becomes a lot more disinterested about small syntactic technical details of programming languages and more interested
