This is excellent news. I purchased RubyMotion when it came out and largely didn't use it for awhile. Since last 3 months our company which is entirely made of Rails/JS guys have been building small apps using RubyMotion. I didn't know they

I could be unique as a techie where I have never came across a tech person who said that - "I won't take orders from him". Is that a real story or fabled one? Likely the story which is supposed to set tone for rest of the article is entirel

I am not sure about how well DTrace works on Fedora. What Oracle is shipping with Oracle Linux is not compatible with GPL licensing (read CDDL) and hence can't be included as it is by other Linux distributions. Having said, I will try the

Everyone is bitter about their previous employers. If they wouldn't be bitter they probably wouldn't have left (except in odd case of, starting your own company, academics, research). What you are missing is - people generally have good time

I was waiting like a kid at the candy bar, which version of Ruby the OP used and then Rubinius. WTF. Wondering what happened to collective HN hivemind to upvote a post like this.

IntelliJ Idea is vastly superior and when developing on Android it is very easy to use Idea as first class IDE. Compare this with iOS development. IntelliJ's AppCoder is nice, but because quite a lot of things can be only done from XCode, A

Really? Did you read the article? It argues that using this pattern can reduce security risks because conformity of input data is more thoroughly tested before passing off to ActiveRecord.

But things like video recording and streaming requires some sort of high end processor (or even a GPU) and I do not think low power batteries will suffice in that?

It is odd you call it "literary". Throughout his life I think Wodehouse was acutely aware that - his work will not be nearly as respectable as say Dostoevsky. Having read almost everything Wodehouse ever wrote (and foreword, preface whateve
