We're talking about Europe here. The choices are there. Around here (greater Paris) I see a lot of Chinese brands (BYD, MG, Volvo) and domestics too (VW, Renault). Edit: I meant to reply to u/petesergeant above.

When I moved to the US it was a cultural shock to have people call me by my first name. But I got used to it quickly and now everything else seems awkward, especially since my last name is hard to pronounce.

Oh, sweet soy sauce is a thing in Asia? I thought it was a French invention (all restaurants here give you both savory and sweet soy sauce). Also I just had gyozas with Lee Kum Kee light soy sauce and thought it's a good test for it.

Which prepared foods show off the qualities of the soy sauce best? I feel like in most of my cooking the soy sauce is overpowered.

I don't understand the comment about the small battery from installers. Don't they allow customization?

If you like geometry I recommend problem 2 from that 1987 IMO. Simple formulation, elegant solution. Hard, but not crazy hard imo. "In an acute-angled triangle ABC the interior bisector of the angle A intersects BC at L and intersects

That's me as well. Stopping and taking a picture, quickly judging the framing and lighting, helps with fixating the scene in my memory as well.

Why is this? We've been told that the cost of batteries is in freefall for years now. Why aren't they competitive yet with ICE, even if they are heavier?

When they talk about trade deficits do they take into account tourism and other cross-border services? Or is it just goods, and in that case why focus on goods?

The title uses the stock stat because it's so unbalanced. But to me the scariest statistic is the other one mentioned in the article: "the top 10% also accounts for 50% of all consumer spending". This seems extremely fragile.

Yes, but sadly a 10 is often used by fans of a lead actor to pump the ratings, and a 0/1 is used by the moral police as a protest vote.

Having worked on a rating system, I think 10 levels are useful (or 5 levels with half-stars). You can create better averages/recs using 10 levels, since ratings of 0 or 10, which are often spammy, can be down-weighed.

I like gradual change. I see things here in France changing (for the better mostly) here and there but yes no dramatic shifts. The US model seems irresponsible by comparison.
