From the article: I think it is a text book example of the main difference in DNA between Google and Apple: Google is all about crowdsourcing. Apple is all about curation. But how does Apple scale discovering new places with

This seems like a win-win for CNET. They get publicity from the news and lots of typical outrage and Google-bashing comments. And if it doesn't improve the ranking as expected, they can always put back the old articles, quietly.

The other way to get streetview is to turn it on as a layer on top of the map. You do that by hovering over the square on the bottom left. The most used layer is probably satellite imagery, but I occasionally use traffic and altitude lines

How did you get from Advertising Agency to Shady Business? Agencies on Madison Avenue are not generally thought of as shady.

Yes, mostly very low alcohol iirc (0.5). I am now living in France and the selection in low-alcohol is very limited, mostly German beers.

I was first introduced to 3% beer in Norway. It was crazy expensive (due to taxes on alcohol) and really good. I was disappointed that I couldn't find anything similar in the US.

I'm not sure you get a full enough taste though. I've made low-alcohol beers with fewer grains and lots of hops and it was unbalanced, the base was not there.

The commentary on page 25 -- on Koreans and Korea under Japan rule -- is extraordinary for how unfiltered it is. I suspect most Koreans back then would have objected.

I felt the same way about chemistry in high school. I only cared about math really. Recently, 30+ years later, I got interested in human physiology and ended up reading chemistry. Really basic stuff, since I had forgotten the little I knew.
