I get the repeating close parenthesis a lot too. Figured it was due to my temperature settings, prompt style or quantization though, but this was my first time running one locally

I used the llama.cpp quantize q_0 option. Seemed to vary widely just adjusting the temperature parameters. Was giving it an example db query saving to file in json and asking create a similar function did multiple queries.

I meant the sudden increase seems to be similar to what happened to Teslas valuation in the past. Both have products/profits/valuation that have a lot of hype and huge margin partially driven by shortages.

It seems pretty similar to Tesla’s valuation with a product that won’t be as sticky as electric cars

I think the 2017 ones would be the old ones. I'm not sure when the change to the case happened. I'm talking about the current 14" ones with the more rounded corners vs the version that was more folio like.

Might be longer term but I think the new macbook pros don't have the same quality feel as the old ones. I got new airpod pros and the new case feels cheap to me. Very small signal against and longer term. The vision pro could be a new

Pretty sure a google search is order/s of magnitude cheaper than a chat gpt one. Training costs may not be comparable. I’m not sure.

They have had a 60% plus margins for years, I think they're just out competing. Or the others have stagnated. The valuation is ridiculous but they have built a product/sales pitch that is extremely difficult to disrupt/replic

They designed it in 2020 does that mean it is likely to have been in use for a while or is the design lag a few years?

What makes you believe that the US companies are fundamentally better? Tictoc seems to outcompete US social media companies lately and Tesla said themselves their only competition comes from China. I don't think Bytedance has a huge bu

I'm not sure why one or two process nodes ahead is considered such a national security issue. Is it like an encryption breaking ability or something else?

I think it makes more sense to use than batteries at like wind turbines to store excess energy. looks like 80% efficiency for electrolysis weight of storage wouldn't be a huge factor for non moving applications

Yeah an electric car future is better than an oil car future. Thinking broader though they still have a large initial carbon impact and any future that depends on cars isn’t really sustainable. I think it takes too much focus off reducing d

The base reasons matter a lot. Inflation could mean the government won't be able to provide more liquidity in a downturn so the downturn will be more severe. Vs 2008 where at least the cause of the recession didn't preclude the go
