The Pi with OpenElec (XBMC) automounts USB drives. The onboard audio is supposed to not be great (crackles when there is USB load? Not sure if this is fixed). But if you're using the audio over HDMI to play through your TV, it should b

I completely agree. I would not have discovered the joys of hiking and hillwalking if it wasn't for my four years at Durham (and "relatively" easy access to the Lake District). Overall, my love of the countryside trumps cheap

I used to go to the Globe pretty much every week (it's open air, so plays were only on in summer). One thing that I did not mention is the fact that the £7 tickets are actually "standing" -- I kindof prefer that as it means y

Is that definitely right? Most metro apps should snap to 1/3 or 2/3 width allowing two apps side-by-side. Edit: OK, so apparently you can[1] snap the default pdf viewer, but I can see it's not going to be a very nice experience having eithe

Using imo for skype is far from "ideal" -- you give your skype password to a third party, and I don't think you can call landlines with it. You might say "just use google voice", but you're out of luck if you're not in the US. I've toyed wi

OT: Speaking of the G300, I'd recommend moving to CyanogenMod9 on the G300 -- I think it's much better than the default ICS it ships with (CM10 and above are still quite shaky, although it's fine for my needs). I understand if you'd prefer

To be fair, I did say this was in Chrome where you get find-as-you-type results. And secondly, your ip address is not logged. The data sent to Amazon is via Canonical and it's anonymised. If you don't trust Canonical, why are you concerned
