   It seems to me they are leveraging their monopoly position in one area to dominate competitors in other areas. IANAL, but isn't that the very reason antitrust exists?

   Actually I think the fact that reddit enables pseudonyms makes it quite different. I don't particularly want to share the fact that I'm super into weird animes with my colleagues, and reddit enables this, google+ not so much.

    Right, the question shouldn't be what percentage of people have Facebook (which at 75% is incredibly high), but "what % of social media users have a Facebook account".

    I don't think the VR hardware problem has been solved. Until there's very good inside-out tracking, I don't see this becoming a mass market technology.

    It's the newspaper themselves who bypass their own firewall when you come from google. They can easily disable it if they want to.

    What? The PC didn't do fine with distributing software at all, at least not before Steam came along. On Linux the situation was ok with package managers like apt, but on Windows it was terrible. You basically couldn't buy any game
