A person with knowledge and ties to one of the small operators within the GSMA eSIM group mentioned there are many problems with interpretation and acceptance of certain proposed guidelines, especially by the big members. One big issue on t

Agree. We have a non-US Stripe account, so we are heavily penalised when we try to charge the US market. Large percentage of support calls start with "my bank blocked the transaction because it was international / fraud" Inco

We've gotten a few weeks extension, but at some point I'm pretty sure things will be enforced. Regarding Paypal, I believe the fraud that hurts the most is credit card (chargebacks, threshold maximums and card programs!), and Payp

I'm seriously hoping this will make SiftScience reconsider their pricing, but more importantly their handling of customers on legacy plans. Grandfathering? Anyone? This is a big win for Stripe. Sift is bullying customers into a minimum

This is one possible explanation. For example, You'd be surprised how many people run intrusion attacks from Kaperskys VPN service.... You see Kaperskys IPS on your logs and wonder...

Range blocking is the last resort, and we've only done it after alerting Hetzner and getting no response. In any case, we only block for a few hours.... and yes, you definitely risk losing clients. I know Hetzner is not only DE based a

Ok, true. Some clarification is necessary. We get hit everyday by 1-2 intrusion attacks as well as a few DDOS a month...and the intrusion attacks are mostly from anonymised address or singled-out ISP IPs...but of the ones that come from Clo

The thing that scares me most is that while this has been a public facing issue, many of these computers at Telefonica, the NHS, and others, have been silently accesible via the exploit for a while. Nobody seems to be talking about this, bu

3D secure is a funny beast. We've seen conversion rates with 3D secure for certain products drop up to 40%. You need to tradeoff fraud/dispute stuff vs usability/conversions.

This might be pretty obvious, but if you forward personal email to a google apps account a lot of stuff like this can happen. The other way, too. If you forward email from a google apps account to gmail (or another google apps account), fun

No worries! Just pointing out the fact that they didn't seem too worried about the issue when first notified, and I really had to press to get some attention. Pity I wasn't fast on a screen capture!
