Dunno where you are in the Bay Area, but in SF I have Sonic which is synchronous gigabit for ~$40 a month. It's not Google Fiber, but it's close.

Yes, but I believe their answer is that they make you hold a certain amount of REP tokens to report, and REP tokens cost $$$. So you would have to buy more REP for each new identity.

Interesting. I suppose it's only a matter of time until someone forks it and changes or lowers those incentives? But they will have to re-build the user base and since handshake.org is literally giving away $10m to build it's use

I think lag is defined as the time between when you make a movement and the movement is displayed, right? So if that delay is 200ms, we know it makes people sick, for example. A delay of 0ms would be "zero lag" IMO.

The seed phrase is 24 words. You write it on paper, you don't need another hardware wallet to secure it. You can import that seed phrase into any number of wallet programs if you lose your hardware wallet.

You could just do that anyway by running Shamir's Secret Sharing Scheme on a Bitcoin private key, splitting the key into M parts where any N of M parts can be combined to recover the original private key.

There will only ever be 21 million BTC. I mean, it's right there in the code for Bitcoin. Yes you can fork or create new cryptocurrencies, but they don't have the mining power of BTC, and they are inherently NOT BTC. So Bitcoin
