There is a good way. He expressed it, you picked up on it, but you just don't trust the rest of the audience. Honestly, is there any way your type of comment makes sarcasm more enjoyable for everyone else? We get it

The toilet is sold with a service contract. Try looking at it another way. This is a toilet that has a fraction of the waste of a traditional toilet. The waste leaves the home in the back of a truck driving on a road instead of in a sewer

Did you read the following paragraph and the section on Abandonment? Erlang isn't mentioned by named, but the problem domain is. "I expect more of the world to adopt this philosophy as the shift to more distributed computing happe

You calling OP oblivious is the basest ignorance. They seem pretty well informed, perhaps more informed by reality than anyone else could possibly be. You make the mistake of not accepting that OP has never had to respond to a medical pr sa

Experiments in dense, but attractive housing are probably the gatekeeper to affordable housing. I don't see this talked about much. Affordable housing is a good goal, but until it can be done in a very dense way, it cannot compete with

Um, not unless corporations become deputized. Uber and Google do not want to be sued for false arrest and false imprisonment.

I'm not entirely sure you realize that no one wanted to grow up to be an Uber driver. Driving for Uber is a stopgap until guaranteed minimum income is a reality.

What? As designed and when they arrive they do not need drivers. When these cars arrive the allure of completely passive ridership will be so strong that no regulation will stand in the way.

Um, did you see the guy's photo? I'm going to guess no one breaks up with that guy unless he does the old trick of acting like a jerk until the other person wants out.

"low cost, rural use" are two phrases that don't appear in the article. This is for relatively affluent people (living on $5 a day not $1) in cities in the third world.

Yeah, this toilet isn't for rural use. It is for places that should have sewers but don't and that probably never will get sewers. It is for dirty cities in the third world.

It might be a good target for a municipal service. Effectively an overland sewer that gets to use existing infrastructure (the roads).

Now imagine eight people using that toilet every day all year long. Imagine that household is in a city of 200,000. All that poo is never going to compost fast enough. This new type of toilet is for high usage and high adoption rates. It co

Composting toilets have problems. This is effectively a composting toilet that solves all those problems. The biggest problem of all is that there is just not enough time and storage to compost on site (on site being your bathroom). This so
