Companies shouldn't hire employees they don't trust. They may choose to watch out for bad behaviour (i.e. not answering emails when expected), however employees should never need to be watched at the level you're suggesting.

Yeah that is a very straight-forward sequence, however some people just seem to be more comfortable with numbers. Either approach could be taken as long as it is mapped out like you did above.

From experience hello world is actually a terrible first thing to show someone in a scripting language since it is pretty much a dead end. Seeing "Hello world!" is not really that rewarding when compared with something like

Well punk music has an iconic visual style associated with it. That goes back to the 70s. I'm sure there was something before that too... this is definitely not a first.

If you're willing to part with it you should consider giving it to someone that doesn't have a computer. Otherwise, just save the computer and run another operating system on it for testing or hold on to it until you find a need f

I've written something similar too. Adding plugins/modules was like a rite of passage for anyone digging into the redis source. I'm definitely happy to see modules getting official support now though.

I don't think this is actually an issue. You can always add context to searches -- rather than searching for just "stevia" you can search for "stevia iOS layout"

I agree that political correctness should not be the focus of a technical discussion, and like-wise there shouldn't be anything remotely offensive in those kinds of discussions either. Just as political correctness eats away at your so

Of course these discussions do get out of hand, and it's true that not all forms of inequality are completely valid in all cases, but it seems best to ignore the people you disagree with instead of trying to convince them to be like yo

It's pretty interesting that the people complaining about people being offended too often are so easily "triggered" by other people being offended. I've been noticing this a lot lately, even on HN. Someone will mention e

Also, gphoto2 is great for interacting with cameras using the command line. I will typically use it to import/backup all the images directly from a camera but it has so many more features. I believe darktable uses it behind the scenes

This looks nice, but I typically use something like this: curl https://api.github.com/users/[username]/repos | jq .[].clone_url | xargs -n 1 git clone Only works for public repos though.

The headline is a bit like saying "Painters sells dried paint for 90k" or "Programmer sells series of characters for 90k" Technically it's accurate, but it misses the point entirely. Richard Prince, whether you like

I know many people, a lot of doctors, who say that they would prefer to just be allowed to die when the time comes. Not everyone expects to have their lives extended by modern medicine and even if you do get longer to live, it usually isn&
