I realize this is a completely selfish request, but is there a chance that the challenges and games you made will continue to be available, or self-hostable? :-D I now regret not having participated in the CTFs that you three built.

Their tasking, though, is to break into foreign ones. They see breaking into domestic ones as necessary to do that (and I can see why they might feel that way, even if I don't like the result), but I don't believe it's part o

The historical nature of soldiers of armed guards with the authority to kill you lends credence to his suggestion that it's not an unreasonable expectation to believe that they _could_ shoot you. Local mileage and laws may vary, but er

I find it amazing that the law prohibits a judge from saying, "The statute of limitations period means that this cannot be valid," and throw the case out, but rather requires one of the lawyers to do so.

It's a completely different word, though. "retard" (pronounced "RE-tard") is the derogatory term, but the context used in this sentence (to slow something down) is pronounced "re-TARD". The only people wh

I still laugh about the chapter in the middle of Les Miserables where the author spends something like 20-30 pages talking about the battle of Waterloo. It was interesting, and very detailed, but had nearly no connection to the plot of the

I don't know if that's true, but I imagine that in order to get redress for such a claim, one would need to take them to court.

Most services, but especially Gmail, promote themselves as something you can safely go all-in on. I recall an advertisement for Gmail where a father left messages to his just-born child, with the idea that when they were an adult they woul

Wow. That's pretty cool! I had wrapped ipython in a helper that would always have the Right PYTHON_PATH, but it's neat to see just how much of ipython I have not been using. Thank you for sharing that.

Note that if you're doing this in a terminal, you MIGHT need to first do `%cpaste`: https://gist.github.com/gknoy/97de793db43ff7ea4d4bfd1bab96b4... It seemed to work fine when I didn't use `%cpaste`, though,

You might recall that the NSA has a curious definition of "collect". They use "collect" where most of us would use "search the existing massive database that we already collected".
