I'm gonna go out on a limb here. At the end of the day laws are relative so to say. The thought behind such a system is noble indeed, but as we've seen, anything any government gets their hands on, they will abuse it. Classic exam

It looks like the APIs are being reverse engineered, thus even if this happens, Apple likely has little legal ground to stand on, if at all (IANAL). See also ReactOS[0]. [0] https://reactos.org/

Not sure about GNUstep, but Darling is akin to Wine, in that it is a re-implementation of the Mac APIs within a Linux environment, allowing you to run MacOS apps on Linux without recompilation. Whereas Airyx is a full FreeBSD OS (distributi

Here in the UK, minimum wage workers do not have to do a self-assessment. Only certain circumstances require you to return a self-assessment, some of those circumstances include earning over 150k or having income beyond your usual PAYE inco

Here in the UK the vast majority has very simple income (i.e. just salaries). The employer reports the income and taxes taxes and passes it directly to HMRC (our IRS equivalent). By the end of the year for the vast majority HMRC knows how m

Have a look at the source, there is no server for this at all, it's a front-end only app. It's published via Netlify. You can also run it on docker locally.

I've only ever used FairEmail, can anyone who has tried both (and not rage quit either) give a summary of the advantages and disadvantages of both? Also, can K9 do a "disable work emails outside of work hours" kind of thing?

You cannot hand over what you don't have. A software being offline has that advantage going for it. You don't see law enforcement going to the GIMP's development team saying "we need this persons GIMP data", which i

Fair point. But this is where the likes of EKS and GKE come in. It takes away a lot of the pain that comes from managing K8s.

Nomad also doesn't have a lot of feature that are built into kubernetes, features that otherwise require other hashicorp tools. So now you have a vault cluster, a consul cluster, a nomad cluster, then hcl to manage it all, probably a t

Right, my point is, you can always run your infra much the same AWS runs their infra. Cloud providers give you certain advantages that on prem doesn't have, and vice versa. Equally, running container orchestration gives you advantages
