Uhhh, they are? They’re a hardware co for sure, but to say they aren’t focusing on on-device models is absurd on its face. They’ve spent over 2 years on Siri AI which is (mostly) local.

I use NextDNS instead of Pi-hole, and don’t have this issue on iOS 27 beta. I also never use the mentioned assist feature as I don’t want things going over cellular unless I need them to.
