Bullet, Box2D and PhysX all highly recommend using a fixed timestep, and no, you should definitely be using requestAnimationFrame with a fixed timestep, just like in the fix-your-timestep article. The number of frames to advance the simul

Typically physics engines can't be "modulated by the delta" (which I assume means varying the dt when integrating), you just have to tick the physics world multiple times and keep the roundoff for next time. [0] gives a goo

That is only true if you write your own physics. Otherwise, your physics framerate should be fixed, usually at 30FPS. Many physics engines don't support variable timestep, and in the ones that do, it can lead to instability and general

Kebab-case is, in my opinion, the most beautiful of identifier cases, but how would you get around the ambiguity with subtraction, short of going full Lisp or adding whitespace sensitivity?

slice::from_raw_parts_mut makes it trivial to reinterpret some bytes as a struct. Beware, though, that Rust doesn't have a stable ABI as C does, and can reorder fields and do other magic freely. What you're doing is already incred

As a user, I prefer consistency across platforms. I don't really want the apps I use to blend into the same gray native soup, anyway. As I see it, the only thing achieved by more consistency within an OS is a thicker garden wall, and I

It shouldn't. One-based indexing is what all the research uses, so it is undeniably the better choice for Julia. But zero-based indexing isn't just a memory trick, it makes lots of math easier when you're concatenating ranges
