"Now, one may separately question whether there is anybody in the target market, who wants these clothes but won't drop the funds to just buy them, but I can't speak to that either way;" I think that's going to be the problem. My wife used

I've noticed Twitter spam bots have started to pull random quotes/text off the internet. Funny to see a tweet of a Machiavelli quote followed by a cheap viagra tweet.

Yeah, and I agree to an extent. It just seems weird to me, as a donation usually goes towards something that you believe in and want to help flourish. There's not even an indication of what the donations would be used for. I certainly don't

I don't want to be a curmudgeon, but why would anyone donate to that? Especially with no info about who is behind the site and why they did it.

I gotta say, I'm already burned out on the Groupon-type sites. I'm not sure why they think I need to get waxed two times a week—I haven't seen a relevant offer in months, after buying a few in the first couple months. The only one that I st

The bottom right of that flowchart is a little scary. So anything you post, no matter how private you want it to be, can be seen by anyone that it gets re-shared to? Nevermind: just noticed that that only applies to posts you share publical

I'm not an expert, but I've been doing a little research on audio file compression to cut down on Amazon S3 charges for a personal site I have up that suddenly got a fair amount of traffic. The way I understand it, ogg vorbis files actually

Assuming you meant "vulnerable." If so, agree completely. If the company that Facebook overthrew, with hundreds of millions of users, can lose over 90% of its value in a few years, there's no reason Facebook is immune. Facebook's new motto:

Taking the immediate gratification away from the consumer and giving it to the business, combined with surprise credit card charges, makes this pretty unappealing. At least to me, as a consumer.

Difficulty in getting the materials to build a wooden structure to the disaster zone would make the concrete tent a better option in many cases.

I have a 10-month-old son, and I also didn't get kids at all until he was born (and honestly, it was until he was about 4 or 5 months old until I really got it). But I think it's unfair to say having kids makes you a more complete person.

I think there is actually MORE good music now than there was in the past precisely because there is more music. For every Lady Gaga there is a Radiohead, for every Kesha there is a TV on the Radio, for every Black Eyed Pea(s) there is The B

I'm writing this from 2007! Anyway, thanks for the responses. I was embarrassingly unaware of the changes. Though maybe the moral of the story is that DRM is a good way to lose a customer who won't come back under any circumstances if there

I'm sure there's a quick fix for the iTunes purchased albums I still have, but the long-term solution is definitely to avoid purchasing from iTunes. For me, at least.

I buy music almost exclusively through Amazon now solely because of the DRM nonsense iTunes puts on its files. I have several albums that, when I try to play them on my media computer through iTunes home sharing, gives me the "This album is

Lorem Ipsum is actually abstracted one layer further. It's based on some text by Cicero, but it has been altered so it wouldn't even be readable if you knew Latin.

Very much so, thank you. So it's more how the data is stored and updated in the different kinds of files. I definitely had the basic gist of raster vs. vector, but had no idea how it could affect something like version control in this way.

"My name is Netta & Design is what I do. It's what I'm good at so why not?" Just what I'd be looking for in an employee — good, old-fashioned "meh, why not?" attitude.
