But isn’t this possible with any language that has a pre-compilation step? Perl is certainly conflating its passes (as explained by other comments above), but in rust you could add a check in build.rs or use macros in C to accomplish the sa

Seems a lot of people think this is a deck by Peloton , not by Blackwells Capital. The title should be changed to clearly reflect that.

I tend to think the issue is, in fact, security. If Apple (or Google or anyone) had a truly secure phone, then there should be no need for curation of apps. But our devices are full of zero-day exploits and dangerous "private APIs.&quo

I always remember "100 basis points = 1%". It's a little confusing since percentages are scalars, so really 1 bps is just the scalar 1/10000.

Also, NYTimes could have cloned Wordle without paying Wardle, and that probably would have been worse for everyone involved.

Declarative here means you’re describing the end state and letting the system decide how to transition from the current state. For instance, you can declare that you need two X (e.g. containers, disks, …) and pass that configuration to the

FWIW, I had something similar happen when I contributed to React. A long CLA, a three-line PR (that was marked as a `easy first issue`), and eventually, after month and dozens of comments, a rebased PR that subsumed the issue. There's

The regex listed there isn’t that much more complex. It’s basically a check for *@a*.* where * is some minimal whitelist of valid characters and a is an alphanumeric to start the domain name.

You should look into Shamir’s key sharing algorithm, where you can break a private key into N parts, M of which need to be recovered to restore the key. Projects like Argent, I believe, tried to accomplish this in a user-friendly app (you c

Since you're here, and the online docs are currently missing, do you know the best way to a stacktrace from a failed Chai assertion? Basically, if I do: import chai from 'chai'; chai.config.includeStack = true;

It might also be self-selection that people that truly dislike the error handling simply avoid golang. I’d really be interested to see how well go generics handle the Result type.

For strict entry, Disney might face sticker shock at that price level, but they could probably derive as much revenue from people with up-sells and nibbles. E.g. charging for FastPass, pre-booked meals, etc.

A mix would probably be better. Allow some folks to (over-)pay their way in, and then give others cheap or free access through a raffle or community-building programs.

For what it's worth, I actually think your code is clean as is, as it clearly shows the relationships of the computation, and it's easy to understand the flow of data. I'd just suggest naming the variables as best as possible
