I lived in SF from 2010-2016 and worked there (while living in the east bay) until 2020. In that time I had a bicycle stolen, two motorcycles stolen, and a half—dozen occasions where insane homeless people tried to bludgeon or stab me. The

I just tried this and could not tell the difference. It seems like how one packed the grounds would matter more. If it’s slightly uneven, one side will get more water pushed through it.

Neither of those companies have software that reads those signs and use them to choose cornering speeds. They both use high resolution 3D maps from previous lidar scans of the road.

I'm talking about standard speed limit signs. You're talking about the signs that warn about sharp turns and advise maximum speeds. Yes it would be good if the software understood those signs, but that's a different issue. Te

Lidar has advantages over cameras but it also has some downsides. Sunlight, rain, and snow can interfere with the sensors, as can other nearby lidar devices (though de-noising algorithms are always improving). There are also issues with obj

Yeah, people don't understand how dangerous motorcycles are. The fatality rate for motorcycles in the US is 23 per 100 million miles traveled. For cars that number is 0.7. Assuming you ride 4,000 miles per year for 40 years, that gives

For my 2020 Model 3, all but one of them. There was a recall to replace a cable in the trunk that could break, disabling the backup camera.[1] I still haven’t taken mine in to get the free replacement, but my backup camera has been fine. 1.

EVs can do this without significantly depleting the battery. Every Tesla keeps the cabin temperature below 105°F as long as the battery is above 20% charge.[1] You can also turn on the climate control from your phone, making the car a comfo
