I'll not conclude anything, but I will say that engineering a virus is an order of magnitude easier than a vaccine. It's a pure mapping problem. There are thousands of known viruses that affect humans. But most viruses don't

You seem to imply that every tech worker is pro-tax breaks (they are not). In fact, it's perfectly possible to disagree with your company's policy on taxes, and agree with their policy on inclusivity! In fact, these tech workers

This is bikeshedding to the extreme. Who cares if Github changes what words they use (from "master" to "main"). The poster claims that they personally were not asked about the change . Who cares what that person thinks?

Your comment doesn't make any sense. Open Source Software is a solution for the problem of companies writing bad software under the assumption that no one will bother finding bugs if they are too annoying to find. History proved that w

I think the key to the Street address question is to actually first find their parents and then find the addresses that they lived at. There is a non-zero chance their parents still live at the same address. And if not, there are likely

You're conflating two disparate issues. Privacy and Security should not be thought of an analogs. You're talking about security. I don't think that's helpful for understanding the issues at hand.

I think it's worth pointing out that Facebook isn't the only platform, though I don't think every article needs to cover all social media equally. This article does a deeper dive on one particular company's issues (and

In my experience, this is not true. The web version is missing features that the desktop version has. Zoom also uses dark patterns to try to get you to install the desktop app, even if you could join via browser.
