I avoid the Microsoft store on Windows but I use Steam all the time. I've also used Steam on MacOS for those few games that run on MacOS that I wanted to play. I'd can see myself using other stores on iOS depending on the store. I

I found it extremely frustrating in that what I expected/hope for was that I'd write a function that got called with some object that had the headers and body of an HTTP request to which I'd output a response. Instead what I

What is the stealman argument for FLoC? I don't agree with the argument that "no tracking" is better than semi-anonymous tracking because I believe "no tracking" is effectively impossible. Only in some fantasy world

I enjoyed Alyx but ... I wish there were more AAA VR games that were not horror (scary) games. I almost didn't make it past chapter 3 of Alyx where you're in the dark with zombies and a flashlight. And, I think I played most of th

This is a much bigger problem than just Counter Strike. I'm pretty confident there are 1000+ games on the steam store that have vulnerabilities where a simple link or network packet while gaming can exploit a user's machine. Both

If Apple was consistent with this I wouldn't mind as much. To be consistent they'd have to ban twitter, reddit, safari, chrome, firefox, Apple's music service, all the other music services, the Podcast app, other podcast apps

Most of my finances are just strings of 1s and 0s. My company pays me. They don't send pieces of paper to my bank. It happens via 1s and 0s. From there, 80-90% of my expenses get paid automatically (rent, most taxes, electricity, inter

The bigger point is it's not free. Otherwise you can claim any part of a Mac is free. You're paying $999 for an OS and getting a free machine. You're paying $999 for a keyboard that has a free computer attached to it. Etc.. n
