The only server functionality I'm aware of is syncing between devices. Zotero does offer hosting space for this, but you can host your own as well. It works with Webdav, so I have used my own hosted instance of Nextcloud for syncing.

Same, and it took some months before the plugin ecosystem got to the point where I found it useful. I don't think I would go through that with another note taking app. And it would be difficult for another app to create such a big ecos

Another issue here is not making a distinction between poverty, and people who are near unable function within the system due to drug abuse or mental issues. These are different issues to solve. If you are unable to work due to disability,

Right. I think the bottom line is that nobody has solved this problem. Someone with no mental or drug issues can navigate the system such that they don't have to be on the streets. That problem has been taken care of pretty well. The o

I have this habit (a bad one) of doing long joke sessions with women contacts who are in some spectrum of interest in dating or friends. Alcohol and phones don't mix, but some of these contacts really enjoy these sessions. It's ba

It makes no sense because nobody but Sam and the board knows what actually happened. My guess is that they arrived to an inflection point. The company was on the cusp of taking an investment which would have valued it at 80 billion. One of

One thing OpenAI has now that it didn't have 4 years ago is a lot more compute power at its disposal. Sam Altman has already said "I think we're at the end of the era where it's going to be these, like, giant, giant mode

If the stories from media and elsewhere were correct, then current and future investors (Microsoft, Thrive Capital) were pressuring OpenAI to bring back Sam. They wouldn't be doing that if they were giving to charity?

My understanding is that the non-profit created the for-profit so that they could offer compensation which would be typical for SV start-ups. Then the board essentially broke the for-profit by removing the SV CEO and putting the "payda

Consider that Satya already landed a huge win by the stock price hitting ATH rather than taking a hit based on the news. Further consider that MS owns 49% of a company which could be valued at 80 billion on the condition that the company ma
