Nice detective work. What I'm referring to is the subject of the second link, "TextDrive is back."

And bad press again when Dean Allen popped out of nowhere to save the day with continuing the lifetime hosting (but shared.) I don't quite remember what happened as I don't use shared hosting. I believe people actually got their s

> Working visas allow people to take jobs from locals, which not what “digital nomads” are doing. This is an important point. What do anti-immigration people in the US complain about? Immigrants taking jobs and benefits. That's it.

The payment status not available message was (still is? I don't need to check it anymore) a general error message. Also noticed the page is running Google Analytics. Might that be a privacy issue?

My argument boils down to "don't call it stand-up." And I think this basic argument still jives with your counters. What's the title? "Live Stand-Up Comedy from Home" What's the domain name? comedyfromhome

Love this comment and totally agree. If a service such as this takes off, it will look much different years from now. I'm just criticizing the early ugly attempts. You're right.

A substitute to stand-up comedy isn't stand-up comedy. Call it something else. Don't do the same thing and expect that it will work. Post this service in the stand-up subs in Reddit and to see the responses from actual comedians.

There's an art to stand-up which is different from podcasting. Just like there's a difference between being a live vocalist and podcasting. Look at Bill Burr's podcasts for example, they are far different from his stand-up. P

Let's be honest, this isn't even close to stand-up. If there isn't a live crowd, it's not stand-up. You need that feedback and the regular drilling to find your voice. Stand-up comedians find their "voice" by d

If it's subscription only, then it's not a better paying alternative. It's a different monetization method altogether. Thanks for the clarification on how the service works. That's interesting, I'll check it out.

Is this spam? You created an account just to post this link? Did you read the article? I looked through the features and this appears to be the same dime-a-dozen-me-too app which doesn't have the one feature everyone loves about Roam.

This is yet another example of a case where no matter how many people are working on a problem or have worked on it, that there's still room for improvements which create an explosion of a positive response. I can't believe that n
