That entire video smells of being fake. I’ll admit I don’t have anything other than a gut reaction to the combination of production quality, editing, and sheer silliness to go on. But there’s enough off that it raises my skepticism a lot.

Exactly my feelings in response to scanning through the text. I was honestly expecting a list of ingredients and cooking instructions to appear towards the end.

Reposting a reply I made to someone else. The problem that seems clear to me is that a lot of viewers never read the book series. Only the first book could sensibly be considered or adapted as cyberpunk. Each of the sequels features the mai

You aren’t wrong. After years of seeing things going that way, I’m hyper critical of any new additions I make to my own software or anything my team is working on.

It’s entirely possible to write good and efficient software with node without requiring an excess of dependencies. It just requires strong responsibility and good practices.

Don’t let it turn you off. Just don’t join the club. I’ve been doing software dev for close to 20 years. I’ve been watching various frameworks come and go for years. Somehow React gained precedence in web land, but based on the last 6 years

It’s a really straightforward decision. - Do you want/need a Mac? - Can you afford the one you want? People agonize over this way too much. I did a few months ago. My trusty 2013 MBP finally was wearing out. I needed a new MBP and the

We tried something like this in 2014 so our remote graphics designers would feel like they’re more in the office. It was a small team of 10 in the office plus 3 remote. Everyone HATED it. Having a camera actively on you all the time is incr

There’s a Planet Explorer, https://www.planet.com/explorer/ . I worked on building it a few years ago. Unfortunately you have to have a Planet account and I believe those are paid only.

I recently got into 3D printing and found I often need to modify models to get better prints. This has lead me into learning some modeling basics. Started with fusion 360 (because it’s free), but even as a new user the entire interface is c

Looking for some informed opinions here. I’ve been building web applications for over 15-16 years. Graphql was introduced a few years ago and I’ll admit, I have a default anti-Facebook derived tech opinion. I’m biased against anything that

My issue with King is that to me at least, he’s a terrible writer. Prolific doesn’t mean quality. I’m suspect what someone can get out of a book about writing from someone who writes poorly.

I concur. I’ve probably read Anathem a dozen times or more over the years. It’s had a significant impact on how I look at the world.

If you're at all interested in a Hackintosh build (modern performance for a lot less money than what Apple charges), you have to go with AMD graphics cards. I built a high-end gaming machine about a year ago (Intel 8700k, Nvidia 2080TI
