This might be a dumb question but Tonne is a mass measurement... How can 1 tonne store 73 tonnes of CO2? The source of that fact is here [0], but that is counting the forest that makes the cork. However they aren't growing a new forest

The problems here come from the fact that a "merge" commit is just a normal commit with multiple parents. This means that anything can happen inside that merge commit, including add, remove, and modify all the code, even if not to

Parker and Stone were just making fun of it and did not coin the term Brown Note. The term is from the 1970s military research. As with many South Park episodes, the topic they are making fun of is usually based on exaggerated facts. It

I mostly agree with you. I too like to actually own my hardware. However, another angle to view it is that these are huge security vulnerabilities. Visiting a webpage on your TV to install a custom firmware could also be used for great evil

A physical SIM card is a smartcard, and in many ways is exactly like a yubikey. A yubikey even presents as a USB smartcard. The attacks on SIM cards are not on the SIM itself, but by the carrier binding your identity to a different card. A

A printing press still takes resources and times. I don't imagine many people had easy access to a printing press. And even then, it wasn't a scanner. Printing a single book meant making templates for each page. Sure you could pri

Since Magnus is a chess grandmaster, are you saying that he applied his skills in real life? Apparently, even if this person was or was not cheating, refusing a rematch and calling him a cheater was the best possible move.
