No, if you use codegen, you should register your component by providing additional necessary metadata, like importPath, importName and others. Then you can use you component in the Studio same way like other builtin components. Check https

I also started using Plasmic exactly 3 months ago and accomplished now one client project with all the backend/auth/frontend integrations entirely using plasmic. I agree with you that this is a great tool, that is far beyond other
