Agreed. I also like calculus as an example. First you gotta write out derivatives by hand, then you learn you can “drop the exponent then subtract one from it.” Doing it the long way without the shortcuts helps you understand it better insi

I might suggest pandas + plotly express. Not no code, and dependent on your data structure, but if you can form it into a tidy data frame plotly express will let you easily customize into different chart types and styles from there

Maybe check out Dash by Plotly. It's helped me address that exact situation as well.
