rereading the link I guess there are some implementation specifics that are JVM. I'm not really familiar with CLJS to say how those translate - but in principle is sounds like it could work on both platforms

Oh, does `add-libs` require the JVM? I thought it was in effect fetching remote code, from git or wherever, and then executing it (or loading it) in the local environment. I'm just curious to understand the situation better, but which

When it comes to specifically dynamically loading external libraries - is there a reason SCI can't incorporate `add-libs`? I mean clearly some libraries wouldn't load and will break (like if it's using Java code or something)

I was always wondering why something like this doesn't exist already! This is really great. Would it be possible to add `add-libs` from `tools.deps.alpha`? https://insideclojure.org/2018/05/04/add-lib

I don't really understand what this is offering. Maybe someone could explain.. Can't you already do this with jpackage or graalvm to create native bundles? At least with jpackage you already get an installer, versioning and upgrad

I find it hard to believe there is no way to probe for extensions and provide a fallback It's a problem that already exists right now. If you compile code on a machine with SSE or AVX and run it on an old Pentium, does it crash? I had

While I agree on the side-effect side of things, you really shouldn't use a classic for loop when forEach suffices. forEach emphasizes you are operating on each element of the loop in a semi-independent fashion and you explicitly don&#

From what I understood of the link there is the "grapheme" which is an intermediary representation between being UTF-8 and being drawn on the screen. Like all possible glyphs have been prerendered. It's not got some simple gr

Is there any standard system where each byte/word maps to one character/grapheme? I feel there is a general sentiment that not being able to jump to the Nth character is programmatically.. irritating and disappointing. I'm su

Err, sorry I have a typo in my original post. The Y is "flipped" (not X). I feel a Northing Easting system should appeal to both surveyors and mathematicians b/c it matches the X-Y plane we're used to in math class. But

yeah, good question. My limited experience has shown me that you end up coding in assumptions that make the sign flip problematic :). There are all those infamous cases of systems crashing on planes and ships when they cross the equator. Id

It was a random thought I had today. Please tell me why it's a bad idea haha :)) A lot of weird bugs happen at the edges/meridians. In a South/East system the edges are at the poles and in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. So
