Statistics tells you the odds that the exit poll would disagree by some degree with the actual result. If the odds show, for example, only a 1 in a 100 million chance of it happening, an investigation should take place. That you've never hi

Don't car radios still have station preset buttons, e.g. labelled 1 through 5, with one (and only one) being lit when you press it?

Of course it is. But many employers will want that asset cheaper than in a younger package, and some other employers will pass at any price. And that's fair, because the older developer has fewer potential years to give to the company.

At some age, no amount of skill is going to help much. Someone will employ a developer nearing senior citizenry, but they'll want a deep discount over what they'd pay for younger.

I assume it's better than the existing Reddit mobile site at m.reddit.com, but how so? I'd change the cursor for the buttons at top-left and top-right (on the website, not the mobile app) to be pointer icons, rather than text editing ones.

Good for them. There's still more opportunity for enjoyment for younger folk, though. Even if a 60-something manages to do the same activity, like snowboarding, it's going to be done in a less youthful body. It's a big waste for 20-somethin

Stocks don't average 9-10% per year, not anymore. Since the Dow was at 10K in 1999, the Dow has averaged 2.1% per year, with great volatility (ups/downs). Including dividends, maybe 4%. The gov't has fueled that relatively anemic growth wit

You might be looking in the wrong town. Consider moving to a town with a greater demand/supply factor. 3 years experience, if you can show your work (e.g. a website) should be plenty in many places.

Compound interest at < 1% isn't going to make much difference over a decade. At > 1% risks losing principal, and inflation is probably > 1% now anyway, so that you lose money on savings. Money spent (rather than invested) in one

Hopefully not too many sacrifices though. Life should be about much more than creating new life. The 20s is the time to focus on yourself.

I'm at A < 1.0 (even 6 weeks of vacation, which I always take with plenty of notice), but have no problem getting or keeping a job long term. I'm A < 1.0 because I'm ambitious about "working to live", rather than "living to work" li

Great demo! I'd make the "You see this" "They see this" images larger. And add a favicon, if only so it's more clear that the "<>" at top left is a logo (and when the user clicks on the logo, go home).

Follow-on question: Are we prepared for the consequences of everyone's taxes quintupling, to prevent/fight the consequences of such an eruption? (Not considering the massive corruption increase caused by such tax increase.)

Yes, free fall can be fuzzy due to clothes and whatnot. But someone who didn't use a drogue chute should be able to have a shorter free fall time yet still be eligible to claim the record for longest free fall time, all else being equal.

Maybe the skydiving community has its own definition of free fall? My books say there can't be any force on you except gravity, which seem to rule out any apparatus intended to slow the fall.
