In previous conversations and articles it made it seem like the dish would be something too massive for a regular person to own, and more of something for a small community to use. I don’t think the photos provide the best sense of scale, b

Your very right. It’s all about threat models. I would rather my grandma (or really anyone that would have a hard time dealing with a password manager) have a password journal then all her passwords be the exact same thing.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn’t see the size of the image after his optimizations anywhere. I found a project that emulates an x86 processor, and they already have two BSD images built. https://copy.sh/v86/

Baddies will sometimes do big DDOS’s of a public site to showoff their botnet’s capability. That clout is then used as proof to sell their service to customers. I could see this being an instance of such a thing.

I think the risk of that instance is low, since options are a legally enforceable contract. I think the brokerage has some liability to pay the contract then get the money from their client, but I don’t have my Series 7 so take me with a gr

I tried to install KDE onto OpenBSD and was greeted with a wildly out of date install; while they might not have a DE specifically sponsored on their website, it’s self evident which DE is preferred by the people that maintain and use the O

This seems like a natural progression to what’s been happening already. I’ve noticed the increase in self checkout lines (along with their size) over the last few years. I wonder if theft will be higher? An article was on here a few weeks a

I’m curious how much it would cost to get something taped out and produced at this node size (Per wafer) from SkyWater. I have seen the groups that do wafer sharing for a low volume runs, which seems like a good idea if you have a couple gr

The workflow to download photos is exactly the same on my Sony A6000 on iOS. You have the ability to send individual photos, or a group (like all the photos from a particular day). Moving them on the phone is nice because you can then open

You don’t need to be rooted for basic searching. Back when I ran android I found an app that would alert when you connect to a tower not in the database. I think it was called AIMSICD but it’s been a while. I think you would need to deploy

The inflation after 2008 was low, and we pumped in a ton of cash in then. I don’t know how everything will end up, but I don’t think massive inflation is guaranteed.

I can see this helping in instances when you need to debug something, and don’t want to force anyone to download wireshark or tcpdump. Being able to grab all traffic for a specific port is pretty cool. Also, if your doing a pen test /

I can’t see how that makes anything more fair? Some people are just bad test takers. What good does it make to penalize them for studying and trying to do the best they can do? Someone with a learning difference would be at a disadvantage.
