Naw, you're not a fanboi. You just had to come and shit all over Microsoft and make the same point that you already made up thread because uhhh, you call it like you see it...right? Bullshit. More like you can't deal with opinions

The original title to this article is completely accurate: "There's a lot of vulnerable OS X applications out there." I bet if this were a Microsoft story, it would have been left alone.

There are actually multiple lap modes that both work great. 1) Like a regular laptop. 2) Fold the keyboard back and open the stand so it makes a right angle. Place the right angle so that the keyboard is parallel with your stomach and the S

Good. One less locked-down, anti-competitive player to deal with. I'm sticking with Android for now since it offends me the least and I'll never, ever, ever use iOS (ever) since Apple is such an asshole to their customers and deve

Visual Studio with Node.js tools is better than WebStorm. It has everything WebStorm does plus better "dumb autocomplete" like Emacs and it's free.

Anyone can get a free 180 day trial of any version of Windows. Just do a fresh install twice a year in a VM, no big deal :)

The person you were replying to did emphasized "wants to" vs "have to" though - so I think they were trying to insert the point about means vs ends. Anyway, whoever was trying to make that point - I think it's bee

I think you missed the point of the post you're replying to. What's the reason that you feel that you want to understand the "real technologies" that run the web? So that you can build better apps with those technologies

There's a shortage of all kinds of apps. You can't even get Chrome with actual extensions on iOS. That's why I like my Windows tablets...I get to decide what runs on my device, not Apple.

Right and last year it was full of Windows 8 horror stories and the years before that it was full of Windows 7 horror stories. In other news - StackOverflow.com is full of programming problems so programming must suck. Point being - /r

Did you even read the article? The arguments still hold up. It's clearly the case that it's not worth the effort to move VS to 64-bit. - "First, from a performance perspective the pointers get larger, so data structures get l

OK then let's compare VS to XCode, which doesn't even have half the features of VS and crashes twice as much. If not, which comparable product would you pick?

Bullshit. Allow an actual user of Windows 10 to correct your statement, since I bet you haven't used it at all: Some things are unfinished. Mostly the consumer facing stuff (think Metro apps). Other than that, Windows 10 has been roc

Yes people can absolutely disagree about what is good and what is innocent. For instance - are American tax payers innocent? Some people see them as empowering the world's largest imperial death/chaos/war machine.

VS2015 starts up in ~1 second for me even with all the options installed. If I open a solution with 10 C# projects in it, it takes about 3 seconds. So is your complaint basically that it's just taking up too much hard drive space? I ca

I'd say immutability is just about the only thing that's concise in Clojure/Script and everything else about it is a huge step backwards - especially the lisp syntax. Yuck! (Also IMHO.)
