I think iMacs end up where someone wants a computer to look nice (either personally or professionally). You could have these in a none tech environment and they will look good.

if you go a step down on the automation ladder it’s quite a fun (if expensive) tech hobby, I use a raspberry pi to control my mount, an automated focus system, guiding system, and then get to learn about stacking and processing the images I

The fines the eu want are percentages of global revenue, so will be significant sums of money. Maybe they are not so bothered about the money but want to disadvantage the us corperations. For me the US has largely got it right and EU wrong.

Is it not a case the market will fix - if Microsoft increases costs in an attempt to strangle the customer, the higher prices create an opportunity for new players?

Feels a bit like your forgetting Skype for business and lync already existed. I kinda agree with your point but I also feel it’s unfair on Microsoft, they are giving their customers more services for the same price, and the customers are us

Fewer iPad SKUs = more efficient manufacturing and logistics, at iPad scale probably means a very real cost saving.

The app is obviously incredibly popular, but if it wasn’t back by the Chinese government I imagine apple would have enforced their App Store rules. I imagine some kind of deal along the lines of “no WeChat no iPhone in China” was done.

For the low end iPhone and iPad have a super simple interaction model. My grandma uses both, and she’s 88. If it breaks she can take it to the Apple Store and they’ll fix it or help her. No one else comes close to them in this regard. From

I do understand what you are saying, I just don’t agree. If it is your expectation that Apple would make an openly hackable headset, I think you have unrealistic expectations, so I find a strange thing to be frustrated about. As to what is

Safari was the killer app for the iPhone and iPad & it’s where people spend an awful lot of their time. This is a general purpose computing device, so seeing it have a great browser setup is a big deal.

I don’t think it was quite so clear on intel 10yrs ago, hard to believe but Apple introduced the 64 bit A7 in 2013, for me that was the point of no recovery for intel (without major changes like we are seeing since Gelsinger returned). The
