What's the issue with Azure Storage? It seems to me like it's one of the azure cloud services that are the least painful to use - at least through the official SDKs

I think that's a silly notion. Many countries have political systems with many political parties, e.g. Germany has 14 and Denmark has 11. Certainly these parties often pair up to form government in (reasonably) established political bl

Long sleeves and fingerless gloves definitely help, especially if you're the type to always have cold hands. (I've written about my experiences with RSI as well: https://www.gustavwengel.dk/overcoming-rsi )

This seems like a really hard problem to solve - but it's some pretty cool progress. I do wonder how Mongo decided building a high-level transpiler was worth their time though. Is the business value of translating those queries really

I think it's partly "you can", but surprisingly enough I also feel that node's single-threaded architecture makes code surprisingly easy to reason about.

For some reason, the design of the page made me sure that it was some sort of lead generation site. I was really surprised when I didn't have to put in my email to read the book.

I've had to implement quite a bit of powershell scripting in my new job. I've always thought that their philosophy of "everything is an object" made sense, but looking at powershell scripts has always somehow made my ski

PostgREST is really hard to figure out how to use though. I tried it a year or two ago because I was really excited about the posibillity, but the setup was super unintuitive, and the docs were hard to follow. I got a simple case working, b

I've had the misfortune of setting up Application Insights for logging across a distributed system. It's awful. The integration with most (C#) logging frameworks is horribly, the adaptive sampling, which is hard to turn off, means

I find that putting the daily standup right after or before lunch, pretty easily fixes this problem (assuming the team eats lunch together) - there's no extra time wasted, as you would have been interrupted anyways.

Unless this article is leaving out some major points, the whole thing seems flawed. So their machine-learning models learn best if they fail 15% of the time. Fair enough - but trying to discern anything meaningful about how often people sho

Yeah this is something I've thought of as well - there's really quite some potential loopholes, if you really want to get through it, using e.g. shell companies or the like. It's a tough question to solve, and I don't kn

That's true - It's definitely not "classic" open source - but I wonder if it still could have most of the benefits of open source, while still being able to push an agenda.

I worked with sails about three years ago. It was a decent experience, but Sails 1.0 has been years underway and seems like a major rewrite of the whole thing. I don't really think a great many people use Sails anymore, and I don'
